What it is
The dashboard is Vector's homepage that opens after logging in. Here you can see at a glance the status of your company's sales, billing, orders, and cash register operations. The page gathers the most important figures and events together so you don't have to go through each section separately.
Getting started
When you log into Vector for the first time, the Setup Assistant appears at the top of the page. It guides you through the service setup step by step. The steps are:
- Complete company information
- Add a bank account
- Add a product group
- Add a product
- Add a payment terminal
- Add receipt texts
- Add a customer
- Create the first invoice
- Invite other users
A green tick next to a step means it has been completed. Click any step to go directly to that function. Once you have gone through all the steps, you can hide the assistant by clicking "Done".
In the top right corner of the assistant, there is a link to Vektori.fi / Support, which takes you to the support site.
What you can do on this page
Track sales and key figures
Below the assistant, four metric cards are displayed:
- Total sales — the euro amount of sales for the selected period.
- Gross margin — the margin remaining from sales.
- Cash register transactions — the number of sales made at the cash register.
- New customers — the number of new customers in the last 30 days.
Each card shows by default the situation for the last 30 days and the percentage change compared to the previous period. You can change the time period by clicking the ⋮ icon in the top right corner of the card. Options include Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, This month, This quarter, This year, as well as the previous month, quarter, or year.
View cash flow
The cash flow chart shows monthly bars indicating how much has been invoiced (blue), how much has been paid (green), and how much is outstanding (orange). From the chart's toolbar, you can zoom in, zoom out, or pan the view. The menu also allows you to download the chart as an SVG, PNG, or CSV file.
Track outstanding invoices
The Outstanding Invoices section displays a pie chart showing how unpaid invoices are distributed by due date: not yet due, 1–14 days, 15–29 days, 30–59 days, 60–89 days, and over 90 days overdue. You can switch the view to table format by clicking the "Table" button in the top right corner — this shows exact euro amounts by category.
Latest sales
The summary box shows the total amount of cash sales, the number of sales, and the number of returns.
Latest orders
The table displays the most recent orders. For each order, you see the order number, creation date, customer name, amount, and delivery status (e.g. "New", "In order", or "Delivered"). Clicking the order number takes you to the order details. Clicking the customer's name takes you to the customer card.
From the ⋮ menu in the top right, you can filter orders in two ways: all orders or only your own orders. Both have an additional filter: today, yesterday, or month.
Best-selling products
The table lists the top-selling products. For each product, you see the product group, quantity sold, margin, and total amount. Buttons allow you to select the time period: Today, Week, Month, or All.
Top 10 Salespeople
A list of the best-selling salespeople. You can filter the list by time period: This month, This year, Previous month, or Previous year.
Today in the calendar
Shows today's bookings and events directly on the dashboard. Clicking an event takes you to its detailed information in the calendar.
Your contacts today
Shows your marked customer contacts scheduled for today. Keep an eye on this section so you don't forget important customer meetings.
Announcements
At the bottom of the page, announcements published by Vector are shown — for example, about new features or updates. Read the announcements regularly to stay up to date with changes to the service.
Tips and notes
- It is worth going through the Setup Assistant right at the start — it ensures that all basic information is correct before you start using the service actively.
- The Outstanding Invoices section is good to check daily — overdue invoices are clearly shown with colours, so you can react in time.
- By changing the time period on the metric cards, you quickly get comparative data from different periods without separate reports.
- If something does not work as expected, you can find support via the ? at the top of the page.
