Restricting product visibility by locations or tills

Why?

In workspaces with multiple tills, it has previously been challenging to organise products by product groups for different tills.

With this update, products and product groups can be restricted to appear only at specific locations.

How does this affect the merchant's operations?

Each till can be assigned a location, based on which:

• Product groups can be shown or hidden
• Individual products can be restricted to appear only at certain locations

This makes it easier to manage the product selection per till.

Required actions

To ensure the restrictions work correctly, verify the following:

• At least one location has been created in the workspace
• A location has been assigned to the till:
  • Settings → Till → Tills

Assigning a product group to a location

1. Ensure that the location has been created in the workspace.
2. Ensure that the till has been assigned a location:
   • Settings → Till → Tills
3. Go to product group management:
   • Settings → Product Management → Product Groups
4. Select the desired product group and click Edit.
5. Set the product group's visibility to the desired location.

Assigning an individual product to a location

1. Ensure that the location has been created in the workspace.
2. Ensure that the till has been assigned a location:
   • Settings → Till → Tills
3. Go to product management:
   • Settings → Product Management → Products
4. Select the desired product.
5. Open the product's General tab.
6. Set the product's visibility to the desired location.
