What is a Gift Card as a Product?

A gift card as a product means that the gift card is created to be sold as a product at the checkout. The product represents the value of the gift card, not a physical item.

Creating a Gift Card Product

1. Go to Products → New Product

2. Give the product a name (e.g. Gift Card £50)

3. Enable Sales Product

4. Do not enable stock product

5. Set the price (if you want an open price for the product, leave the price including and excluding VAT empty)

6. Save

• Stock tracking is not used for the gift card product
