When to use Viva App-to-App?

Use the Viva App-to-App integration when Vektori POS and Viva.com Terminal operate on the same Android device.

A typical use case is, for example, Ciontek CS50, where on the same device:

• sales are made with Vektori POS
• card payments are received with Viva.com Terminal.

When card payment is selected at the POS, Vektori automatically transfers the payment to the Viva.com Terminal on the same device. After payment, the payment result is returned to Vektori and the sale can be completed.

App-to-App does not require setting the payment terminal’s IP address or local network connection.

Before you start

Make sure that:

• Vektori POS Cloud and Viva.com account are connected according to the common steps in this guide
• Viva.com Terminal is installed and activated
• Vektori POS and Viva.com Terminal are on the same device
• the device has a working internet connection.

1. Install Vektori POS

If the payment terminal is a device managed via Vektori, Vektori POS can be installed on the device automatically.

If Vektori POS does not appear on the device automatically, record the payment terminal’s serial number (SN) from the bottom of the device or its packaging and contact your Vektori supplier.

On Ciontek CS50 and other supported Android devices, Vektori POS can also be installed from the Google Play Store.

2. Activate Vektori POS

1. Open Vektori POS.
2. Enter your company’s Vektori POS Cloud address, for example company.vektori.fi.
3. Log in with your Vektori credentials.
4. Give the POS point a name.
5. Select the warehouse used by the POS point.
6. Log in to the POS with the salesperson’s PIN code.

3. Select Viva App-to-App as the payment terminal integration

In Vektori POS, open:

Actions > Settings > Payment Terminal

Select the integration as:

Viva App-to-App

Save the settings.

No separate pairing of the payment terminal, IP address, or Viva Store needs to be configured.

4. Configure receipt printer if needed

If the payment terminal’s internal printer is also used to print Vektori sales receipts, open:

Actions > Settings > Printer

Select the device’s internal printer and save the settings.

5. Test the payment

Always perform a test payment after setup.

1. Add, for example, a €1 test sale to the POS.
2. Select card payment as the payment method.
3. Check that Viva.com Terminal opens automatically and shows the correct amount.
4. Complete the card payment.
5. Check that Vektori receives the approved payment result and the sale completes normally.

If the payment transfers to Viva.com Terminal and the approved payment returns to Vektori, the setup is complete.

If the payment does not transfer to Viva.com Terminal

Check that:

• Vektori POS and Viva.com Terminal are on the same device
• Viva.com Terminal is activated and able to receive payments
• Vektori has selected the payment terminal integration as Viva App-to-App
• the device has a working internet connection.
