What it is about
The Calendar is the heart of Vektor for managing schedules, bookings and resources. It offers several different views (basic calendar, resource view, timeline and list view) that allow you to see events in the way best suited to the situation.
Getting started:
You can find the Calendar page in the main menu on the left-hand side under Calendar. You can switch between the different views using the four icons at the top right of the page (from left to right):
- Basic calendar (calendar icon)
- Resource view (two overlapping boxes)
- Timeline (vertical lines)
- List view (list icon)
What you can do on this page
Regardless of which view you are in, you can always add a new event by clicking the blue + Add new button in the top right corner. The different views also offer the following features:
- Basic calendar: View bookings in a familiar month, week or day grid. You can quickly see the general situation for the current month and navigate forwards or backwards using the arrow buttons.
- Resource view: Compare the schedules of different resources (such as employees, rooms or equipment) side by side on a daily timeline. This is the best tool to avoid overlaps.
- Timeline: View events as a continuous timeline. (Note: If there are no entries for the selected period, the system will display a yellow banner saying "No events".)
- List view: Display all bookings as a clear table (Start, End, Title, Resources, Customers, Participants).
- Filtering: On the right-hand side of the list view is a comprehensive Filters panel. You can search for specific bookings by exact date range, resource, customer or creation time. You can also set how many rows are shown per page.
Tips and notes
- The right tool for the right need: Use the basic calendar for an overview, the resource view for daily coordination of teams or rooms, and the list view when you need to find a specific past or future booking using extensive filters.
- Today button: In the calendar and resource views, the Today button at the top left will always quickly bring you back to the current day, even if you have browsed months ahead.
