What it is about
The Contact Events tab gathers all recorded contacts and sales activities with the customer. Each contact event shows who made contact, when, and what happened. The tab is particularly useful in sales and customer relationship management when you want to track the customer's contact history or plan the next contact.
Getting started
- Go to Customers in the menu on the left.
- Click the name of the customer you want from the list — the customer card will open.
- Click the Contact Events tab at the top of the customer card.
What you can do on this page
Browse contact events
Events are displayed as a list grouped by date, newest first. Each event shows:
- Author — which user recorded the event
- Contact status — the customer's status at the time of contact, e.g. Paying customer
- Time — when the event was recorded
- Comment — a free-form description of the contact
- Contact person — who at the customer was contacted
Add a new contact event
The + Add new button in the top right corner opens a form where you fill in:
- Comment — a free-form description of the contact or event content
- Contact person — who at the customer was contacted, selected from a dropdown menu
- Contact status — the customer's status at the time of contact. Options include: Paying customer, Not yet called, No answer, Answered - not interested, Answered - interested, Answered - order, Ceased operations, Wrong number, and Incoming call
- Contact person in your company — who from your company handled the contact, selected from a dropdown menu
- Next contact time — when the customer will be contacted next, selected from a calendar
Save the event by clicking Save or cancel by clicking Cancel.
Tips and notes
- Record contact events immediately after the contact — this keeps the whole team up to date on the customer’s situation and prevents information from being lost relying on memory.
- The Next contact time field is especially useful in sales — it reminds you when to contact the customer again.
- Contact status shows at a glance the stage of the sales process the customer is in, so understanding the situation is quick without reading comments.
- Always fill in the Contact person field to indicate who was contacted — especially with business customers, there may be several contact persons.
