What it is about
The Files tab is the customer's own file storage, where you can save documents related to the customer relationship. Files can be organised into folders and are easily accessible to everyone managing the customer account. The tab is convenient for storing contracts, offers, and other customer-specific documents.
Getting started
- Go to Customers in the menu on the left-hand side.
- Click the name of the customer you want from the list — the customer card will open.
- Click the Files tab on the customer card — the tab is found in the lower tab bar.
What you can do on this page
Browse files
Files and folders are displayed as a list showing the item name, file size and last update time. You can switch the view between list and grid using the buttons in the top right corner. In grid view, files and folders appear as icon cards; in list view, as a table.
Add files
The Add files button in the top right corner opens a file selector, through which you can upload files directly to the customer's file storage.
Create a new folder
Use the + New folder button to create a new folder for organising files. Folders allow you to group files, for example, by topic or year.
File-specific actions
Each file and folder has its own shortcuts:
- Download — download the file to your computer
- Edit — rename the file or folder
- Delete — delete the file or folder
Edit column visibility
From the hamburger menu in the top left of the table, you can select which columns are shown in list view. Available columns are: ID, name, size, type, owner, read-only, created and updated. Select the columns you want and click OK.
Tips and notes
- Create the folder structure from the start — a clear folder structure makes it easier to find files later when more documents accumulate.
- Files are visible to the whole team — everyone managing the customer account has access to the same files, so it is better to save customer-related documents here instead of in individual emails.
- Grid view is handy when you want to glance at files visually. List view shows more information at once, such as file sizes and update times.
